Located on Mears Park in the Galtier Building this new restaurant with fresh cuisine and updated hip style is a fresh addition to Lowertown St Paul.

Faces Mears Park is a restaurant serving American cuisine utilizing local sustainable and organic ingredients. Across the street from Mears Park at 380 Jackson St St. Paul, MN 55101.

Helmed by executive chef David Fhima, FACES mears park uses local, organic and sustainably farmed ingredients. We are a Twin Cities dining destination and a fixture in the Lowertown St. Paul community.

Heartland Restaurant is Now Open!

Heartland is located in the Market house Building on the corner of Fifth Street and Broadway. Across the street from the St Paul Farmers market and 1 block east of Mears Park and River Park Lofts.

Heartland restaurant features North American Midwest Cuisine that favors small family farmers and artisanal producers to source organically grown and sustainably raised local ingredients.

July sees 6th straight month of rising home sales

According to the pending home sales index of the National Association of Realtor’s, home sales were up 3.2% in July, on top of a 3.6% increase in June. The increase in sales are part of a six month streak in rising home sales.

Julianne Pepitone of CNN Money writes, ” The first-time home buyers tax credit, passed earlier this year as part of the economic stimulus package, is worth 10% of the home purchase price up to $8,000. People who have not owned a home in the previous three years are eligible for the credit.

However, the tax credit expires on Nov. 30 and it usually takes about 90 days to close on a house after a contract is signed. As of Sept. 1, there were only 90 days left before the credit ends.

The average middle-income family can now spend less than 25% of monthly income to buy a median-priced home

Music in Mears

Starting June 4th, Thursdays in St. Paul will be set to the sound of local bands and acts descending on Mears Park for a summer of weekly live performances and food from local hot spots. First up (June 4th) is the Rocket Club with eats provided by The Bulldog.

Concerts are free to the public.
